Bacon Finnegan just found a teleportation watch that transports him from the Starship Ruby Darton to the planet of his destiny. He meets up with a White Witch who explains he is Merlin's lost grandson and unleashes his magical powers. Bacon embarks on his quest to find seven hidden magical relics. Before he can do that, he must rescue his friends and defeat an evil Warlock, who is out to kill him. Then if he is successful, he can complete his quest to find the remaining relics and release Merlin from his enchantment on Earth.

THE COMARISON

Like Charlie Bone, Bacon Finnegan has a boring and simple life. When Bacon finds out about his adoption, he makes a wish to get off the cargo ship. Unlike Charlie, who is sent off to a special school, Bacon uses a watch to teleport to a far away planet. There he meets his mentor, Balimoreath who explains to him that he is a Decnalab. A Decnalab is one who possesses magical powers and whose purpose is to fight evil. His magical learning begins with the wand fashioning ceremony and the reading of magical spell text files. Bacon embarks on a Quest to find the seven articles of Merlin. Charlie Bone's story takes place in a school for descendants of the Red King. However, Bacon's story is different and his adventures take place on different planets.
